Korean Antique Meditation Table with Hand Craved Florals and Altar Top

  A rare find, this handmade meditation table works as a coffee table, bench, or lowboy. It was found and restored in Korea and dates back to the 1950’s. This Korean vintage cabinet makes a unique statement in your interior, offering practical storage with a touch of charm. Made from solid elm wood, using mortise and tenon joinery, with hand-carved floral motifs on the paneled doors, a winged altar top, three drawers, and two doors.

  Korean and Japanese furnishings take pride in their mastery of brass hardware, and this chest features wonderful bat-like handles, handmade and engraved. Another unique feature of this antique is that its felt lined interior and drawers were used to store valuable items. The updated finish enhances the original beauty of this exotic chest. This collectible Korean antique is about 60-90 years old.
