Hand Carved Chinese Set of Two Antique Window Panels 44" H

These large 44” H hand carved, rectangular, antique Oriental lattice panels come in a matching set of two. These rare finds are from northern China, about 80-120 years old, and are in very good condition, beautifully carved with fine detailing in the center panel and a complex grid design surrounding it. Finding a matching set is difficult, but we found these Chinese elm wood panels in the Chinese countryside, where they are used as window ornaments, and had them lightly restored by local craftsmen. Hand made and joined using mortise and tenon, and lightly stained to its natural medium brown finish, almost a walnut color.
