Porcelain Planter in Silver with Floral Hand Painting Large 18" Size

Finding Asian porcelains of this size and vintage is rare, and we are fortunate to have received a vintage shipment of Oriental porcelain wares from an old Ceramic source in China. This Chinese planter is 18" wide at its widest at the top. This handmade Chinese Fish Bowl was made around 50-70 years ago, before "super" mass production. This porcelain planter, though difficult to make, has an opening large enough for indoor or outdoor trees or plants. You may also consider using it as a base for an Oriental glass top table. This fine Vintage porcelain planter is adorned with a mirror like silver background glaze and pastel Asian florals in a bouquet. Rich layers of thick colored Chinese glaze are textured to the touch with expert Oriental hand painting, featuring earthy multi colors and contracting borders. True Chinese fishbowls are glazed and hand painted inside with colorful water lilies and Koi fish, and stamped with a Chinese chop on the bottom. Fish hobbyists use Asian fishbowls, and this vintage Chinese porcelain is a sought-after find for collectors and decorators due to its rarity and quality. You can enjoy this Asian porcelain planter indoors, as a glass table base, planter, or flower pot, or outdoors in your garden. Use a rosewood stand for additional enhancement.
