A rare discovery: an old trade friend with manufacturing stock in Hong Kong sent me a small quantity of vintage 1970s Rosemedalion Planters. These unused fishbowls are hand-painted with gold and thick, to-the-touch glazing, making them worthy of your fine porcelain collection. The planter features floral designs you can feel and touch with sharp detailing and masterly painting. The inside is also a work of art, with koi fish, waterlily, and floral vines at the rim. These handmade porcelain planters feature a dense body, thick rims, and a hefty build that measures two inches taller than contemporary planters of the same width. These fishbowls are from Hong Kong and have the authentic maker's mark (Chop) fired on the bottom. The rose medallion patterns feature floral and wedding-scene panels, with bright gold floral and koi-fish borders in a cornucopia of rich, fire-glazed pastel colors. A rare find like this will not last long while these treasures are available. This bowl is large enough to use as a tree planter, and with a glass top, makes an outstanding table.
