Rare, vintage Chinese sedan chair in traditional Nigbo red and gold finish makes a unique seating option for your interior. This Chinese sedan has extraordinary details and was originally used with post as a vehicle to carry the elite, brides, and officials. Deeply carved side panels, pagoda top crowns, and lattice sides are beautifully carved and lacquered in rich gold and cinnabar red lacquer. The carving of eternal knots, floral patterns, and fruits all meticulously made . This Oriental chair is made of durable elm and camphor wood and is simply joined with tongue-and-groove joinery. Comes in 3 parts: pagoda top, entryway panel, and Sedan chair. We have also added an uphostered cushion to enhance its use. We suggest using this chair as a focal point in any interior room. This authentic and rare Chinese chair is vintage, 40- 60 years old.
