The hand painting on this piece is layered with 7 rich coats of lacquer paint, gold leaf and hand applied mother of pearl. This piece crafted by Chinese furniture carpenters with decades of experience to be a masterpiece for years and years. Simple assembly is required, no tools are necessary.  The headboard, footboard, side rails and cross beams all slide or clip together to accommodate your box spring and mattress on top of the included cross beams.
