This unusual Chinese antique armoire from Northern China is about 60-80 years old. It it is also called a tapered chest as its legs are at a angle that points to the heavens. We found this Chinese elm wood cabinet in the Chinese backcountry, and had it refurbished by area craft workers. Two large doors with shelf and 2 additional drawers inside the two doors, makes this piece a wonderful wardrobe credenza. Refinished with generous new brass hardware, this grand red lacquer armoire is hand applied with red lacquer to create a deep red surface coating. Clean and classic lines with Ming style elements, it measures 34" x 17" x 65 inch high. Use in a bedroom for wardrobe or in the living room as an audio and video equipment focal point. Goes well in a contemporary, country or cottage décor. Refurbished in and outside. No two are perfectly identical, but all very much like the photo. At this price, don't hesitate.
