This exotic Chinese antique bed is from northern, China and is about 80 years old. It it is also called a opium bed and needs assembly . We found this one of a kind Chinese hand carved bed in the Chinese country side and had it restored by local craftsmen. The elm wood post, side rails are carved lattice , the bed platform is woven rattan. Refinished with hand rubbed lacquers showing off the rich wood grain. Clean and simple lines with Ming style elements it measures 88" x 56" x 92 inch high. Use in a bedroom or in the living room as a seating area. Works in a modern, rustic or cottage interior. Refinished inside and out.
