A Chinese Antique Kang bench with rattan top is made of  fir wood. We have reinforced the rattan top with a plywood base for strength. These are about 60- 80 years old and were found by us in northern China and refinished by our China staff . Use as a coffee table or low sitting bench . No two are exactly the same ( although all similar) and we can provide photos on request. Dimensions are about 52 by 16 by 13 inches high. They were used as a step in front of  opium beds. We use one as a plant base in front of our picture window.
